Job description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist -Stockport
Location: Stockport (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: £35 per hour
Contract Type:Short-term (6 months)
Team: Equipment and Adaptations Team

Liquid Personnel seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist for Equipment and Adaptations Team in Stockport. The role involves reviewing and assessing bed levers for safety and suitability before June 2024, following the national MHRA alert notification. Candidates should have a background in adult social care and strong assessment skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bed Lever Reviews:Conduct full reviews of each person with a bed lever to ensure it is fit for purpose and used safely.
  • Occupational Therapy Assessments:Perform thorough Occupational Therapy assessments/reviews for each case.
  • Package of Care Reviews:If the individual has a package of care, review and liaise with neighbourhood teams as necessary.
  • EAAT Waiting List Assessments:Complete full assessments and implement required recommendations for individuals on the EAAT waiting list.
  • Moving and Handling Assessments:Identify any moving and handling needs, conduct assessments, and provide suitable recommendations and plans.
  • Adaptation Reviews:Review any adaptations completed following previous OT involvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience in adult social care.
  • Strong assessment and review skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Face-to-face assessments in Stockport.
