Overview
- As a Functional Assessor you will work autonomously to assess claimants applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP), as part of the DWPs Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
- You will complete assessments with individuals with a broad range of health conditions, with some assessments potentially conducted remotely.
- An in-depth, fully paid training programme is provided and the role counts towards clinical hours, helping you maintain your registration.

Job responsibilities
- Use your clinical experience to understand how a diverse range of health conditions affect daily living and functioning
- Work in office and remote settings to conduct detailed, respectful assessments by telephone, video, or face-to-face
- Interpret medical evidence and compile findings into a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making
Requirements
- Applications welcome from Occupational Therapists only for this vacancy
- HCPC registration is required
- At least 1 year of broad post-qualification UK experience is essential
- Proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and strong IT competency
