An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of B5 Occupational Therapist in the Occupational Therapy Hub across the Stockton community teams. The service is based at Wessex House, Stockton and covers Treatment and Intervention Team, Hub Team and Early Intervention Psychosis. The service is open between 9am and 5pm Monday - Friday.
The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality patient focused care in a community setting.
The role will involve improving the lives of people with severe and enduring mental health conditions as well as introducing them to our local community transformation partners to continue their journey to recovery.
As an occupational therapist in TEWV you will be professionally and clinically accountable for own caseload, assessing occupational performance and delivering occupational interventions, demonstrating adherence to the Trust values at all times and operating as a member of the team, service and organisation.
Occupationally focused assessments and interventions will be delivered as part of a dynamic service delivery model that has a strong commitment to collaborative working at its core whilst recognising the unique skills of all professional groups represented in the team. Additional focus is on delivering high quality evidence based services that support recovery, occupational formulation and occupational engagement. The delivery of occupational therapy 1:1 and in groups is required.
To work best in the team we are looking for candidates who are highly patient focused, confident in their emerging skill set, dynamic and resilient. We will accept applications from those whose registration is pending.
The post will offer varied opportunities for training and development, with CPD needs being identified and monitored through appraisal. Well defined supervision systems are in place.
