Overview

Occupational Health Advisor (OHA)

Location: Midlands (covering 3 sites)
Contract: 3–5 days per week
Salary: £50,000 (pro rata for part-time)

The role is to provide a high-quality, proactive occupational health service across three Midlands sites. The successful candidate will manage their own schedule and workload across the sites, ensuring the consistent delivery of occupational health services.

The role will be primarily on-site, with some flexibility for occasional home-based administrative work.

Responsibilities
  • Provide case management support with a low caseload.
  • Conduct a range of health surveillance and medical assessments, including:
    • Audiometry
    • Spirometry
    • Skin Surveillance
    • Forklift Medicals
    • Night Shift Medicals
    • Lone Working Medicals
  • Administer vaccinations as required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential occupational health records.
  • Advise management and employees on health and wellbeing matters.
  • Promote and support a culture of health and safety across all sites.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with relevant Occupational Health qualification (e.g. Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health Nursing).

  • Proven experience in a similar Occupational Health Advisor role.

  • Competent in conducting health surveillance and vaccinations.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (mileage reimbursed if applicable).
