The Beaconsfield Day Nursery and Pre-School

Nursery Room Leader

40 hours per week

Salary £29,536 per annum depending on qualifications and experience

Beaconsfield Day Nursery is a welcoming and vibrant nursery nestled in the heart of Beaconsfield. Conveniently located with easy access from the A335 and close to the M40 junction, we also offer ample onsite and street parking. Additionally, the nursery is just a short distance from Beaconsfield Train Station, making it easily accessible for our dedicated team.

Our nursery features spacious, bright, and airy rooms, along with a large, fully equipped garden complete with a mud kitchen. Each room has direct access to the garden, with a separate area specifically for our baby room. We pride ourselves on offering a rich variety of extracurricular activities and regular outings in the local community, providing children with engaging opportunities for imaginative and real-world play to foster their growth and development.

Role

We are currently looking for a Level 3 Practitioner to join our team. This is a full-time role, offering 40 hours per week with flexible shift patterns between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM. A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification is required. Please note, this is a year-round position, as the nursery operates throughout the year and is not term-time only.

Responsibilities
  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
  • Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency
  • Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years - Essential
  • Over 6 months\' experience working in a senior position - Desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential
