Job summary

A regional health organization in Peterborough is looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Nurse to join the Intensive Support Team, supporting adults with learning disabilities in crisis. The role involves crisis management, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and adherence to Positive Behavioural Support approaches. Candidates must hold NMC Registration as a Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse and demonstrate practical clinical skills. A full UK driving license is required, and the position emphasizes travel and meeting strict deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Must have NMC Registration as a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) or Mental Health Nurse (RNMH).
  • Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities who have behaviours of concern.
  • Willingness to travel independently and hold a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and manage crisis referrals and deliver specialist Learning Disability nursing.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to provide feedback on caseloads.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in writing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans.
  • Monitor and review medication changes in conjunction with psychiatry.
