Operating from a state-of-the-art control centre in the heart of Edinburgh, your role will be pivotal in overseeing the daily operational requirements of National Critical Energy Generation Infrastructure. You will focus on managing real-time network activities to ensure seamless and efficient performance, while actively interfacing with key industry stakeholders to uphold the integrity and reliability of the network.
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.
Promoting:
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in project management, engineering, high voltage (HV) safety, and asset analysis.
A Proven track record in an electrical engineering role, ideally significant previous experience with the various HV Infrastructure across the voltages 11-400kV
Prior experience in a Control Room or Control Systems setting, particularly within national electrical infrastructure or marine industries. However, what we value most are candidates who possess transferable skills encompassing expertise in managing large rotating machinery, operational maintenance, and related areas.
Through understanding of electrical single line diagrams (SLDs) and Mechanical piping & instrumentation diagrams (PID’s)
Competent to ensure ‘Safety from the System’ and the electrical and mechanical safety rules procedures are followed.
Capable of overseeing electrical and mechanical activities for the purpose of safety, technical review, contractual compliance, and operational duties.
Track record of implementing compliance processes for grid connection points.
