Overview

North Riding FA is seeking a passionate and skilled Football Development Officer (Coach Development) to lead the delivery of its coach development programme. The successful candidate will work with clubs and stakeholders to recruit, support, and develop coaches, helping to build a more diverse and sustainable coaching workforce across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver coach development programmes aligned with the FA Learning Coach Development Framework
  • Support England Football Accredited Clubs with the Thriving Community Club Framework
  • Develop club-specific coach development plans and promote inclusive recruitment
  • Deliver Coach Developer training and manage a team of Casual Coach Developers
  • Collaborate with FA staff, strategic partners, and safeguarding teams
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in coaching across all pathways
  • Provide high-quality customer service and use FA technology systems effectively
Qualifications
  • Practical experience in coach development
  • Knowledge of FA coaching qualifications and grassroots strategy
  • Strong project management, communication, and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and equality
  • Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
  • UEFA B Licence or FA Tutor qualification
  • Experience with mapping tools and volunteer engagement
  • Budget management and report writing skills
