Overview

A forward-thinking consultancy at the forefront of the FMCG sector is on the lookout for a Non-Functional Lead. This is a chance to shape performance testing strategy, ensure seamless digital experiences, and drive continuous improvement across complex, high-traffic platforms.

  • Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in Hertfordshire)
  • Package: £65,000–£80,000 per annum & Benefits
  • Industry: FMCG
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading non-functional testing across websites and applications to guarantee reliability and speed.
  • Designing and running performance, scalability, load, and stress testing programmes.
  • Using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner to measure, validate, and optimise system behaviour.
  • Identifying bottlenecks and recommending performance improvements.
  • Working closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to implement changes.
  • Building and maintaining monitoring solutions for production environments.
  • Sharing expertise by mentoring colleagues and embedding best practices in performance testing.
Main Skills Needed
  • Strong background in non-functional testing, with proven use of JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing, tuning, and monitoring.
  • Understanding of digital platforms, including websites and applications.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and continuous improvement processes.
  • Confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience in testing environments is a plus.
