Job description

As the Network Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in a wide range of networking technologies. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the network security baseline and other tasks such as vulnerability management, threat detection and monitoring, incident response and security control implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and enhancing Network and Cyber Security baselines
  • Implementing Cyber Security tooling
  • Assisting with business-as-usual network configuration
  • Performing gap analysis on systems and services
  • Maintaining baselines of endpoints and servers
  • Working across Linux and Microsoft Technology stacks

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with up to 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home.

Qualification Requirements
  • An understanding of security architecture required within compartmented certified environments.
  • Knowledge of JSP 604, 440 and relevant BS EN standards.
  • Experience in a Network Security role.
  • Experience of ICT systems in complexed environments.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and cataloguing Configuration Management documentation.
  • Experience with Network Security supported by a relevant certificate/qualification.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. You may be required to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance once in post.
