Salary

Up to £50,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working

2-3 days per week on-site depending on business need (i.e. we may require more than two/three days onsite during some working weeks).

Security Clearance

British National

This role will require DV Clearance, and restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply (British National). The successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Clearance (SC) checks, which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team, prior to their DV application process.

The opportunity

Join our forward-thinking team as a Network Engineer, where you would play a key role in maintaining our organisation's network infrastructure at the Bolton site. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our network solutions to ensure reliability/availability and to protect against evolving threats.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll work on implementing changes securely, identifying vulnerabilities, managing network incidents and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

What we're looking for from you

• Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANS and load balancing)
• Demonstrable expertise in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting routers and switches e.g. Cisco, Juniper
• Strong knowledge of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, IPSec, SSL / TLS.
• Cisco ACI, Catalyst Center, ISE and WLAN experience is desirable.
• In depth knowledge of network architectures and security zones (DMZ, internal networks)
• Proficient in monitoring technologies such as PRTG, Nagios
