Job summary

A well-established Managed Service Provider in Glasgow is looking for an experienced Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join their Technical Services team. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, handling diverse responsibilities in infrastructure and security while driving technical improvements. You will work mainly from the Glasgow HQ with flexibility for client site visits. The company offers a salary up to £45,000, bonuses, hybrid working, and private healthcare among other benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an Infrastructure or Systems Engineer role, ideally within an MSP or multi-client environment.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and core infrastructure services.
  • Experience with Linux systems.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs and firewalls.
  • Experience delivering and supporting LAN, WAN and wireless solutions.
  • Strong Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP knowledge.
  • A valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver infrastructure across on-prem, hybrid and cloud estates.
  • Get involved in advanced troubleshooting, project delivery, migrations, upgrades, and security improvements.
  • Provide escalation support across servers, networks, virtualisation and cloud.
  • Drive technical improvements and contribute to consultancy work.

The Opportunity:

This is a chance to work in a genuinely fast-paced MSP environment where no two days look the same. You’ll support and deliver infrastructure across on-prem, hybrid and cloud estates, getting involved in everything from advanced troubleshooting to project delivery, migrations, upgrades and security improvements.

You’ll provide escalation support across servers, networks, virtualisation and cloud, while also getting the chance to drive technical improvements and contribute to consultancy work. Expect meaningful ownership, diverse clients and plenty of room to grow your skills.

You’ll be based mainly in their Glasgow HQ with flexibility to attend client sites when needed. If you’re keen to step into a broader engineering role with exposure to complex environments, this is worth applying for.

You’ll ideally have:
