A leading IT services provider in the UK is seeking a Network Design Engineer to design and implement secure, scalable network solutions. Overview

Locations: Birmingham, Basingstoke. Excellent opportunity to join a world-leading IT MSP and trusted partner to the U.K. MOD. As a Network Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing and supporting medium-to-large scale network solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions
  • Producing design documentation (HLDs, LLDs, network diagrams, support collateral)
  • Providing configuration, troubleshooting, and technical support
  • Supporting project lifecycles from requirements – design – deployment – OAIS
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals LAN, WAN, VPNs, IPSec, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper devices (switching, routing, firewalls)
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS-ENT (preferred, but not essential if you have equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrable design experience (HLDs/LLDs, diagrams, support documentation)
  • Solid troubleshooting and defect resolution skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
