Job description

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking an NDT Technician Level II RT/MT/PT for full-time positions in York, PA and New Kensington, PA.

Applicants must provide the following documents:

  • High School Diploma/GED/Degree
  • Proof of classroom hours/training in NDT
  • Previous Level II certifications/OJT
Major Responsibilities/Activities
  • Set up and calibrate equipment
  • Conduct tests using appropriate NDT techniques
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document results
  • Be familiar with the scope and limitations of certified methods and capable of directing trainees and Level I personnel
  • Adhere to relevant codes, standards, and contractual documents
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Identify and resolve problems promptly
  • Obtain and analyze information
  • Edit and present numerical data effectively
  • Travel may be required (less than 20%)
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NDT Technician Level II RT/MT/PT certification
  • Industrial Radiographer Certification Card (required for radiographers)
  • Completion of an 80-hour Radiation Safety Course (required for radiographers)
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC-1A standards for MT/PT
  • Competencies in problem-solving, communication, interpersonal skills, planning, adaptability, dependability, quality, and safety
Working Conditions
  • Outdoor field work in a plant environment
  • Interaction with crew, supervisors, and other personnel
  • Work around production machinery with noise
  • Potential travel to multiple job sites
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to carry 50 lbs.
  • Wear safety equipment as required
