Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to perform various inspection methods including DPI, MPI, Visual and Radiography. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and a background in welded component inspection. The role supports growth with opportunities for training and paid overtime. Ideal candidates will also need to read and understand engineering drawings and maintain inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Hold authority to stop production if faults are detected.

Job description

Due to growth and continued success my Walsall based Engineering / Manufacturing client are looking for an experienced NDT Technician to join their existing team.

Responsibilities

• Performing various methods of NDT Inspection - DPI, MPI, Visual and Radiography
• Report findings on NDT Control Cards
• Holds authority to stop production, if necessary, where a fault, defect or problem is identified

Qualifications and Skills

• PCN Level 2 / ANST or similar qualification within DPI, MPI, Visual and or Radiography (If you have Level 1 qualifications in 2 or more or above, this role will offer training and support for the right candidate)
• Background in welded component inspection, ideally from heavy engineering, power, nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemical, or agricultural industries
• Experience in maintaining inspection reports that are filed and up-to-date
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings

Working Hours

Mon - Thurs 7.50pm - 5.30pm & Fridays 7.50pm - 1.30pm

Compensation

Paid overtime is available at Time & 3rd, Time & 1/2 & Double Time
