Hexcel Corporation is currently seeking an NDT Supervisor for our Kent, WA location.

Summary pay range: $83,500 - $125,300 annual salary.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Work with team leads to promote and maintain a safe work environment and operation. Ensure all members of the NDT team are following safety protocols and procedures and maintaining a “safety first” mindset.
  • Promote teamwork atmosphere and inspire positive team morale.
  • Manage personnel, including recruiting, annual performance reviews, coaching, managing work schedule, and monitoring labor hours and overtime.
  • Development of team members: coaching, training, ensuring team members’ training records are accurate and Level 3 as directed in support of training and certification programs.
  • Manage NDT resource projections and personnel assignments to meet demanding schedules and providing NDT timely inspection status updates.
  • Work with engineers to review design concepts, support development tests and contribute to process development.
  • Ensure NDT output meet quality standards in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated.
  • Ensure production protocols are followed and team supports 5S standards and other continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of experience as NDT Level 2 in aerospace, composite part inspection. Experience as NDT Level 3, a plus.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated ability to manage and lead strong and high-performing teams.
  • Certification in and/or knowledge of NAS 410 and ASTM/AWS specs for certifications and inspection requirements.
  • Hold and maintain at minimum a Level II ASNT certification.
  • Knowledge of drawings, production work orders, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
