Navigator Global is looking for a Trade Insights Assistant to join a dynamic and growing Editorial Team in our London HQ. You will be part of the wider Proposition team of Navigator Global, working alongside our regional and solution level trade experts and their respective global teams and networks. The role holder will be responsible for researching, generating, writing, and subbing high‑quality content on global trade, providing actionable insights and news for SMEs navigating international markets. You will also support the team by researching, analysing, and synthesising global trade developments, ensuring our content, solutions partners and product journeys are shaped with relevant trade intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Research & Analysis – Conduct daily research on global trade news, emerging trends, policy developments, and economic indicators that impact SMEs trading internationally.
- Market Monitoring – Track updates across major trade corridors and international markets, with a focus on factors impacting globally ambitious SMEs.
- Geopolitical & Regulatory Insights – Monitor geopolitical events, regulatory shifts, tariff changes, and identify emerging opportunities within global trade cycles.
- Content Support – Distil complex trade insights into clear, concise briefs to inform editorial teams and guide content creation.
- Accuracy & Validation – Fact‑check and verify all data and sources used in Navigator Global's publications to ensure credibility and reliability.
- Editorial Standards – Uphold Navigator Global's editorial quality benchmarks by ensuring all insights are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proven writing and sub-editing skills, capable of producing clear, engaging copy and refining content to meet high editorial standards (Required)
- Proven ability to work to deadlines both independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced newsroom environment (Required)
- Good working knowledge and understanding of international trade, global markets, and business (Required)
- Strong research skills, with the ability to gather and synthesise information from diverse sources to produce accessible, engaging copy (Required)
- Excellent writing and reporting skills, with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy (Required)
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a passion for global trade (Required)
