National Account Manager
Location: UK (Permanent WFH, ideally Midlands/Central England)
Salary: £50,000 commission (TBC) fully electric company car 8% pension
We are looking for a proactive and energetic Account Manager, someone who has a natural flare for growing customers and strengthening business relationships.
This is a high-impact, relationship-led role focused on owning, nurturing and growing the company’s national accounts. You will take ownership of a portfolio of national customers, act as a trusted partner, strategic adviser and enthusiastic ambassador for the brand.
The role is permanent work from home, with regular UK-wide travel for client meetings, events and conferences.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Account Ownership & Growth
- Act as the primary point of contact for key national accounts, building long‑term, high‑trust relationships.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer structures, decision‑makers and operational needs.
- Proactively manage accounts through structured plans, regular check‑ins, on‑site visits and insight‑led conversations.
- Identify and deliver upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing customers.
- Provide clear reporting on account performance, forecasting and growth.
Communication, Influence & Presentation
- Clearly articulate the company’s products and technology in a simple, compelling way.
- Represent the company at national industry events, conferences and exhibitions, raising brand visibility and generating opportunities.
Commercial & Analytical Insight
- Analyse account data, usage trends and market insights to drive growth and inform strategy.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to strengthen the companies market position.

Essential
- A charismatic, professional communicator with strong presence and credibility
- Confident presenter, able to hold a room and engage large audiences
- Have prior experience in selling products rather than service
- Excellent written communication skills
- Numerate and analytical, comfortable using data and reporting tools
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Proactive, inquisitive and naturally relationship‑led
- Highly organised, able to manage workload and diary independently
- Comfortable using PowerPoint, Excel, CRM systems and digital tools
- Flexible and willing to travel nationally, including attending events for extended periods
Desirable
- Experience selling into local authorities or the public sector
- Experience within a print manufacturing or similar environment
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in account management or business development
- Proven experience managing and growing customer relationships
- Experience working with or selling to local authorities (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
