Job description

A warm, friendly, and active family are seeking a reliable and proactive Nanny Housekeeper to help support the smooth running of their busy household in the afternoons and evenings. This role combines housekeeping duties with some after-school nanny responsibilities. Tasks will include meal preparation, laundry, ironing, changing beds, and ensuring the home is kept clean, organised, and running efficiently. The role also involves caring for the family’s animals, including walking the dogs and helping with the chickens, so someone with a hands‑on, “muck in” attitude who enjoys being around animals would be a great fit. Child related duties will focus on collecting the children from school, driving them to and from after-school clubs on a Tuesday, supporting them with homework, and assisting with dinner and bedtime routines. The children are active, polite, and enjoy a variety of sports and creative pursuits, so a candidate who can engage warmly and confidently with them will be ideal. The perfect candidate will be nurturing, thorough, and attentive to detail, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment. At least once a week the professional will stay over on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays. One night a week is included in the salary; the second night, if required, would be paid as overtime.
