Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Bradford is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to plant machinery and minimizing downtime. They will also engage in continuous improvement initiatives and project work. Candidates should have a time-served electrical apprenticeship and at least 3 years of production maintenance experience, alongside proficiency in fault finding on various control systems.

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Permanent contract • 42 hours per week • Continental shift pattern (4 on / 4 off) • Salary £51,000 per annum including shift allowance • Benefits include company pension scheme, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, death in service.

Kinetic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with Electrical bias for a heavy engineering client based in Bradford. As Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer you will be part of a small team providing PPM on site to all plant machinery and equipment, helping to minimise downtime, ensuring the smooth running of all manufacturing operations. You will also take part in continuous improvement initiatives and undertake project work.

Skills and Experience:
  • Proficiency in fault finding on various control systems such as PLCs, AC/DC motors, Drives/frequency inverters, and relay logic.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production maintenance environment with a multi-skilled approach.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Analytical, logical, and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Computer literacy.
