Job Title: Multi-Skilled Tradesperson (Multi-Trader) - Social Housing Maintenance

📍 Location: Swindon
🕒 Hours: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm
💷 Pay: Up to £19 per hour

Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Multi‑Skilled Tradesperson to carry out day‑to‑day maintenance and reactive repairs across social housing properties in Swindon. This is a hands‑on role suited to a reliable, well‑rounded multi‑trader who can turn their hand to a variety of trades while working in occupied homes.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out a wide range of responsive and planned maintenance works within social housing properties.

  • Basic plumbing (leaks, taps, toilets, sinks)
  • Carpentry (doors, locks, skirting, kitchen units)
  • Plastering & patch repairs
  • Painting & decorating
  • Tiling & minor flooring repairs
  • Basic electrical work (non‑certifiable tasks)

Complete jobs to a high standard, first‑time fix where possible.

Work professionally in tenants' homes with a strong customer‑focused approach.

Follow health & safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Accurately record works completed and materials used.

Essential Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience as a Multi‑Trader / Multi‑Skilled Trades person.
  • Previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Confident working across multiple trades (not just one main skill).
  • Able to work independently and manage daily workloads.
  • Good communication skills and a respectful approach when dealing with tenants.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Own van and full set of tools required.
