A recruitment agency is looking for a Time-Served Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician with an Electrical Bias to join a small team. The role involves performing preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery, diagnosing electrical faults, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Job description

Zenith People are working with our client who are seeking a Time-Served Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician with an Electrical Bias to join their small team of Maintenance Technicians carrying out support to ensure the smooth running of their manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong electrical expertise, who is also comfortable working across a variety of maintenance disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery within the plant.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance across the site, including fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other site-wide electrical repairs as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Participate in the call-out rota (not every week) with allowance and additional pay per call-out.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
  • Time-served or qualified in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an Electrical Bias (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and reliable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Working Hours - Monday to Friday, early shifts with a 3pm finish.

Call Out: 1 in 4 weeks (monthly call-out allowance + additional pay per call-out).
