Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Job Purpose

Join our Engineering team in Felling as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining plant and equipment to ensure maximum uptime and safe operations. You’ll carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our busy production site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement statutory inspection routines and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and investigate root causes of repeated breakdowns, implementing permanent solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to install and commission new equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is accurately recorded in our CMMS system.
  • Complete work within agreed timescales and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance performance.
  • Work with and assist contractors as required.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • Electrical and Mechanical trade qualifications (minimum NVQ Level 3).
  • Experience in a multi‑skilled maintenance role, ideally within a COMAH chemical facility.
  • Strong diagnosis and fault‑finding skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong health & safety awareness and ability to work safely under recognised codes and practices.
Desirable
  • HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience on a COMAH site.
  • Knowledge of motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, palletisers, and filling lines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills.
