Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Essex
Shifts: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts (Days, Afternoons & Nights)


We're recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing site in Essex.You'll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly by carrying out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, while supporting ongoing improvements across the site.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across production equipment and site services

  • Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC-controlled systems

  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, applying root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence

  • Keep accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems

  • Support site safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives


What We're Looking For:


  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship / NVQ / HNC (or equivalent)

  • Maintenance experience within FMCG, food, drink, or manufacturing

  • Strong skills with motors, bearings, pneumatics, conveyors and PLC-driven equipment

  • Safety-first approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
