Overview

About the role

This integral role is responsible for effectively completing engineering tasks within the maintenance team and following the departmental systems to ensure that task completion is carried out efficiently and effectively.

To be successful in role, you should be someone who can work well under pressure, whilst paying attention to detail and ensuring that the 5S ethos is adhered to.

You should be determined and self-motivated, able to analyse and problem solve, as well as identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks as requested and communicate ongoing work effectively
  • Fault find on electrical/mechanical systems
  • Completion of pre-task safety reviews, ensuring all safety precautions are demonstrated and adhered to
  • Adhere to all departmental systems and understand prioritisation where necessary
  • Source component/materials and place orders as necessary
About you
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical/mechanical bias
  • Effective knowledge of PUWER, COSHH and LOLER regulations
  • Strong IT literacy and communication skills

Ideally, you may have a RTITB certified Counterbalance licence and an IPAF Access Platforms Certificate.

You may also have fabrication experience and awareness of Fire and Asbestos as well as the BSC 7671 standard.
