Maintenance Engineer
Up to £53,000 DOE + Strong Pension + Overtime

Our client, a well-established food manufacturer, is looking for a Shift Engineer to join their growing team. This opportunity has arisen due to an ongoing site expansion, making it an exciting time to join.

Role Overview

Joining a strong existing team reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in keeping the production facility running smoothly. You\'ll take a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, ensuring preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed and responding efficiently to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out both mechanical and electrical maintenance on factory equipment as per the routine schedule.
  • Install and commission new equipment.
  • Ensure PPM\'s are completed and updating CMMS system.
  • Manage assigned tasks effectively and support external contractors on-site.
  • The site will be having ongoing project work to get involved and support with.
Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • Experience in a FMCG/Food/Manufacturing environment
  • Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience in an automated production setting.
  • Strong Communication skills.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control, instrumentation, welding.
  • FLT licence.
