Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 MSK Physiotherapist. This position will be for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Deliver a wide variety of clinical work within the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service in the community clinic setting.
  • Work with patients who have a variety of complex needs, including:
    • Orthopaedic post‑op patients
    • Degenerative conditions
    • Chronic pain
    • Self‑referral patients
  • Secondment will be considered.
  • Assess, treat and maintain records for own caseload of patients with complex presentations as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Review patients on a 1:1 basis and deliver therapy and education in class settings.
  • Lead assessment, liaison and decision‑making processes for patients.
  • Undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience.
  • Support the Band 8a in planning, coordinating and evaluating the MSK Physiotherapy Service on a day‑to‑day basis, and cover other areas with this specific caseload as necessary.
