Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ post-grad experience, with at least 2 years focused on MSK care.
  • Confidence working autonomously within a wider OH team.
  • Membership of ACPOHE or working towards it is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Providing accurate clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for MSK injuries/disorders.
  • Leading rehabilitation-focused exercise sessions on-site.
  • Conducting ergonomic risk assessments in collaboration with HSE colleagues.

Job description

OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join a leading Occupational Health team based in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on-site within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, making a real impact on employee health and wellbeing.

The Role:

This MSK Physiotherapist role will see you working in a supportive, collaborative environment, just a stone’s throw from the stunning Lake District – ideal for those who value work-life balance in a picturesque location. As a key part of the Occupational Health service, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality musculoskeletal care to employees on-site. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for MSK injuries/disorders.

  • Classifying cases by work relatedness and advising on adjustments or modified duties.

  • Leading rehabilitation-focused exercise sessions on-site.

  • Supporting health promotion activities and wellbeing initiatives.

  • Performing DSE assessments and advising on appropriate adjustments.

  • Conducting ergonomic risk assessments in collaboration with HSE colleagues.

  • Contributing to case management and rehabilitation pathways for MSK conditions.

  • Producing high-standard clinical documentation and fitness-for-work reports.

  • Identifying potential workplace hazards impacting MSK health.

What We’re Looking For:

We'd love to hear from you if you are a motivated and experienced MSK Physiotherapist with:

  • HCPC Registration

  • Minimum 4 years’ post-grad experience, with at least 2 years focused on MSK care

  • Strong IT and documentation skills

  • Confidence working autonomously within a wider OH team

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

  • Awareness of occupational ergonomics and workplace health principles

  • Full CSP Membership

  • Postgraduate training in Occupational Health or Ergonomics (highly desirable but not essential)

  • Membership of ACPOHE or working towards (highly desirable but not essential)

Working Hours:

  • Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:45 pm

  • Early Finish Fridays: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm

  • Part-time applicants (min. 30 hours) may also be considered if able to work Fridays.

Salary & Benefits:

In return for your expertise as an MSK Physiotherapist, you will receive:

  • Up to £42,000 per annum (DOE) - Pro rata if Part Time
