A healthcare organization in Bristol is seeking a candidate for GMP grade production of Gene therapy products. You'll support clinical trials while contributing to process improvements and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Biomedical Science and experience with laboratory equipment. Opportunities for career progression and professional development are available.
You will perform GMP grade production of novel Gene therapy clinical grade products, such as Viral Vectors at the Clinical Biotechnology Centre on behalf of NHSBT, in support of ground-breaking clinical trials. You will undertake or contribute to process development activities to support the process improvements or investigations for the Viral Vector Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) production service leading to release of reports and / or products.

There are many opportunities for career advancement and progression within NHSBT with experience, from managing a section of the laboratory, right through to being a consultant lead with responsibility for the entire laboratory service. You may use your knowledge to specialise in an area vital to the operation of a modern manufacturing and / or diagnostic service, training and education or research and development.
