Overview

Mobile Train Cleaner

Based at Manchester Piccadilly Station

Starting at £13.05 per hour for a 6-month initial contract. The role offers the strong potential for a permanent position with the company, which includes additional benefits like free rail travel on their network.

The role and about you

As a Mobile Train Cleaner, you will be responsible for the deep cleaning of train interiors, ensuring they are spotless for passengers. This is a hands-on role that requires you to be physically fit and capable of lifting equipment.

You will be based at Manchester Piccadilly Station, and travelling to Manchester Victoria Station & Sidings, Manchester Airport Station, and Rochdale Station. Your duties will include wiping and sanitising all surfaces and touch points, hoovering and mopping floors, dusting and cleaning windows, cleaning and restocking toilets.

You will work a demanding shift pattern across a 7-day week, specifically on a 4 on 3 off / 5 on 3 off rota. The working hours are 21:45 to 06:00, so a commitment to working nights is essential.

You are a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in their work. You thrive in a physically demanding role and are prepared to work nights as part of a varied shift pattern. You must hold a FULL UK Driving License for at least 2 years as you will be using a Company Van to travel and be able to pass a full railway medical (including sight, hearing, and colour vision tests) and a comprehensive drug and alcohol test.
