First Achieve Engineering are proudly working in partnership with our client to recruit a skilled Mobile Plant Maintenance Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping machinery running at its best.

The Role

As a Mobile Plant Maintenance Technician, you\'ll be the go-to expert for maintaining and servicing a wide variety of plant and tools within a busy fleet. You\'ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surfacing squads, minimising downtime, and preventing unnecessary costs.

  • Troubleshooting and repairing plant and machinery
  • Procuring parts and managing maintenance records
  • Monitoring job sheets and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Supporting plant selection and implementing proactive maintenance plans
  • Working closely with colleagues across all weather conditions, outside of the typical 9-5 routine

This is not just a maintenance role-it\'s about collaboration, problem-solving, and playing a vital role in the success of the wider team.

What We\'re Looking For

To be successful, you\'ll need:

  • Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic/Fitter (time-served or with a relevant mechanical qualification)
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of plant and machinery maintenance
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills to work with colleagues and customers alike
  • A valid driving licence (essential)
  • A calm, adaptable nature and a genuine team-player mentality
