Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Food safety, Health and Safety, Allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP regulations.
• Carry out craft/skills training for catering staff.
• Ensure all service counters and food are presented to company standards.
• Guarantee that each dish served is portioned according to business requirements.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties as instructed by the line manager, covering all food preparation and storage areas as well as catering communal areas and the removal of waste.
• Deliver exceptionally high standards in customer service, cleanliness, tidiness, and other operational activities.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required; own vehicle required as travel to a different site each day may be necessary.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on cooking experience and training on Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
• Expertise in cooking on a large scale, anywhere between 100 - 1300 students.
• Experience following recipes in a similar setting.
• Experience working with fresh produce and ingredients.
• Strong awareness of and adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a busy kitchen environment.
• Professional attitude, leading by example and a positive outlook.
• Basic food handling skills certification.

Package Details

• £14.00 per hour.
• 30 hours per week.
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 2 pm.
• Term‑time only (39‑week working contract paid over 52 weeks).
• Requires a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• All travel expenses are reimbursed.
• Retention bonus of £200 on successful completion of 12 months.
