Mobile Calibration Technician (Mechanical / Materials Testing) £40,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Company Van + 33 Days Holiday + 11% Pension + Training + Progression

Location: Manchester (Covering M62 Corridor)

Are you a Calibration Technician with a background in Materials Testing or Mechanical/Force calibration looking for a mobile role covering the M62 patch? Do you want a role that offers autonomy and training with the goal of becoming a fully qualified Field Service Engineer?

In this role, you will calibrate specialist test equipment used for Materials Testing, visiting various manufacturers, R+D sites, and laboratories to carry out calibration to ISO 17025 standards. Specialist manufacturer training and career development opportunities are available for ambitious candidates.

This company is a market-leading manufacturer of Materials Testing equipment with a global presence. They are expanding their market share in Northern England and are looking for a Calibration Technician or similar with knowledge of Mechanical or Materials Testing equipment calibration procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Calibrating bespoke Test Equipment at customer sites
2. Calibrating equipment for Impact, Hardness, Tensile, Flexural, Creep, and Fatigue parameters
3. Progressing to become a fully autonomous Field Service Engineer

Additional benefits include all expenses paid, a company vehicle for private use, and extensive travel (staying away 2-3 nights a week).
