A local transport service provider in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a mini bus driver to transport young adults with additional needs. The role involves covering evening clubs and taking young adults on trips. Candidates must hold a D1 driving entitlement, have excellent communication skills, and a flexible attitude. Training will be provided, and the position requires a commitment to working evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• D1 entitlement on driving licence and no more than 3 points for insurance.
• Experience with additional needs or challenging behaviours is advantageous.
• All training provided including MIDAS.

Job description

Overview

Mini bus driver required for transporting young adults with additional needs / challenging behaviours to our premises from within Westcliff, Southend, Benfleet & Canvey Island and back, also on trips out into the local area during the day on a rota basis. Will be covering transport for our 2 evening clubs approx. 1 in every 4/5 weeks. Occasional weekend overtime to take young adults on trips.

Responsibilities

Transporting young adults with additional needs / challenging behaviours, covering transport for our evening clubs, and taking young adults on trips in the local area.

Qualifications

• D1 entitlement on driving licence and no more than 3 points for insurance reasons.
• Experience of working with additional needs and or challenging behaviours is advantageous.
• Flexible attitude essential.
• Good English communication skills essential.
• All training provided including MIDAS.

Work Hours

30hrs per week plus evenings & weekends on a rota basis.

Employment Requirements

• Enhanced DBS, Right to Work check and 2 references.
• We are unable to offer sponsorship to non UK residents.
• Applicants with Visa restrictions of working only 20 hours per week would not be considered.
