Overview

Russell Taylor is currently recruiting for experienced Mig Welders (mild steel) based in BD11 to join one of the leading engineering companies. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established team that is expanding due to planned growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhering to strict Health and Safety standards set by the company.
  • Reading and interpreting working/manufacturing drawings to determine cutting measurements for fabricated assemblies/As well as all welding symbols.
  • Welding to Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) standards.
  • Using the MAG welding process to carry out welding tasks.
  • Fabricating various assemblies in line with drawing specifications.
  • Performing general fabrication duties across shifts as required.
  • Weld testing during the interview stage, including T Fillet and Butt Weld.
Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have proven experience (over 2 years) in fabrication welding with mild steel.
  • OR hold relevant qualifications, be time-served, and have experience in fabrication welding within a similar engineering environment.
Additional Information
  • Day shifts available.
  • Overtime paid after 37.5 hours worked (time and a half, double time on Sundays).
  • Rates starting at £16.60 rising to £17.99 once completing customers coding's
