Overview

DC Personnel are recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a prestigious and well-established engineering company in Leicester.

This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a skilled welder looking to join a supportive workshop team producing bespoke mild steel components.

Details
  • Location: Wigston, Leicester
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm (40 hours per week)
  • Pay Rate: £13.65 - £14.65 per hour (Depending on experience)
  • Overtime: Paid at time and a half
Responsibilities
  • MIG welding and fabricating mild steel parts
  • Working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality, custom-built products
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality to meet production specifications
  • Following workshop safety procedures and reporting any issues to the supervisor
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years\' MIG welding experience (required for top end of pay scale)
  • Proven background in steel fabrication and production welding
  • Comfortable working to tight tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings (preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • NVQ Level 2 in Welding or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
