A leading healthcare provider in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated Midwife to support women and birthing people who misuse substances. This role offers the opportunity to provide continuity of care during the antenatal and postnatal periods and involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance health outcomes. Candidates should possess a genuine passion for advocacy and holistic family integrated care, along with a Registered Midwife qualification.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Midwife with an interest in supporting women and birthing people who misuse substances and alcohol, to join the maternity team at UHNM. The Horizon midwife is an established role that will allow the Midwife to provide continuity of carer for women and birthing people during the antenatal and postnatal period.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to address and reduce health inequalities for a cohort of women and birthing people within an allocated caseload.
We are looking for someone to be an advocate for this cohort of women and birthing people and to have a genuine passion for improving outcomes.
You would be working as part of the community and wider based maternity teams to provide holistic family integrated care. You will work collaboratively with specialist maternity and safeguarding agencies as well as external stakeholders to deliver personalised care for families with complex needs of substance misuse and mental health issues.
