Microbiology Analyst

Alpha Scientific, part of the Genuit Group’s Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, is at the forefront of chemical and microbiological testing. We provide detailed analysis of water and air quality from UKAS‑accredited laboratories in Sittingbourne, Slough and Manchester.

Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 – 18:00 (training period 9:00 – 17:00)

Responsibilities
  • Receive samples from customers and process them in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to documented procedures for all laboratory work, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, proper sample handling, orderly paperwork and correct LIMS updates.
  • Maintain all necessary records and quality data.
  • Familiarise with the Laboratory Quality Manual and comply with policies and procedures to meet UKAS accreditation standards.
  • Work in a clean and tidy manner, caring for laboratory fittings and equipment.
  • Apply good laboratory practice and uphold the highest standards.
  • Complete any other tasks reasonably in line with business needs as designated by the Line Manager.
