Job description

Manitowoc, an international leader in providing premium lifting equipment with Grove and Potain brands, is looking for a Sales Manager Tower responsible for selling and promoting the Potain product line in the assigned area: UK & Ireland. The job is based in the UK at our Buckingham offices.

Main Responsibilities in the Role

  • Sell new cranes in the assigned area respecting the allocated budget
  • Manage client relationships from initial contact through project completion
  • Maintain relationships with our local dealer and monitor their sales and financial activities
  • Keep the sales director informed about the market, including competitor activities and sales
  • Provide feedback from the market to our marketing department
  • Recover receivables activities

To be Successful in this Role

  • Deep knowledge of products and the market
  • Familiarity with the products and marketing strategies of major competitors in the territory
  • Experience with budget management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis skills
  • Strong customer service skills, including managing customer relations, handling complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills with team members, customers, and suppliers
  • A commercial, yet clear, open, transparent, and honest personality
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in heavy construction equipment management or product support
