Meter Engineer

Looking for a Meter Engineer that would be a technical expert in the field of subsea and topside multiphase and wetgas metering for TechnipFMC MPM Products. Supports MPM Houston organization on metering and PVT support activities in the Western Hemisphere. Performing regular commissioning, start‑up, health lanjut-checks, validation, re‑configuration and general technical support to customers and their field operations. Performs and supervises on‑site operations in line with job specific procedures.

*This role will work in the Houston, TX Gremp Campus four days a week.

Job Description
  • Ensure safe working practices and that all field operations are in accordance with the requirements of TechnipFMC's security and QHSE management system, procedures and work instructions, customer’s requirements and applicable local laws and regulations.
  • Technical Support Execution with the MPM product line, per TechnipFMC Execution Processes and Work Instructions.
  • āji generate PVT and meter configurations to be used with the MPM meters in the field.
  • Perform health checks and meter validation services for MPM customers.
  • Assist customers with expert technical advice and information, configuration / set‑up of MPM meters, review / analysis of well test data, PVT analysis and modelling.
  • Provide TechnipFMC Subsea Services service engineers, as well as customers and well testing companies, with installation, commissioning and start‑up related support.
  • Occasionally perform installation, configuration and commissioning of MPM meters in the field.
  • Troubleshoot, light repair or replace mechanical and electronic parts, and update software associated with the MPM meters.
  • Assist in developing professional training programs / courses and material to be used for training customer personnel on MPM products.
  • Coordinate and hold professional training courses for customer and TechnipFMC personnel on configuration, operation and maintenance of MPM meters, at company's or customer's locations.
  • Assist in updating/improving MPM service related technical procedures, tools and techniques.
  • Provide on‑site or remote technical support to customers using MPM meters.
  • Update and maintain internal tracking and recording systems.
  • Adherence to industry standards.
  • Actively ensures that the personal health & safety of self and co‑workers are preserved at all times.
You are meant for this job if:
  • Degreed Petroleum or Chemical Engineer with at least 3‑years of Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas Industry or job experience equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of hydrocarbon chemistry, fluid dynamics, fluid modelling, PVT and fluid behaviour. Advanced user of PVT modelling software (Multiflash, PVimal, etc.).
  • Experience with operation of multiphase metering, PVT sampling / modelling, production analysis and operation an advantage.
  • Capable of niña liaising with customer reservoir and production experts to solve metering issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively transfer subject matter expertise. Good communication skills in Spanish and Portuguese languages an advantage.
  • Excellent organization and customer service skills.
  • Ability to make independent system recommendations utilizing advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to travel on short notice; some international travel may be required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to work in cross‑functional, multi‑cultural teams.
  • Pro‑active, initiative driven approach and willingness to contribute with new ideas.
  • Accuracy, dependability, ability to manage schedule and prioritize work for self and others in team, a self‑motivated self‑starternda.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Spends 50‑70% time in an office environment and 30‑50% in shop or field environment supporting onshore/offshore activities. May be exposed to possible hazards including working with high‑pressure equipment, high noise, inclement weather, chemicals, pressure testing, heavy lift operations and shop/field traffic. Some travel (international and domestic) as necessary visiting TechnipFMC regional offices, plants and makes visits to existing and potential customer’s facilities and field installations as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Hands‑on labor in shop and/or field environment, which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Some travel for TechnipFMC and/or customer contact.
