Compensation: £36,176 - £41,596 / year

Description: Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit a Lead Nurse to join the team. This is a full-time 37.5-hour role. Priory Hospital Roehampton, a registered hospital in London, is a welcoming and highly respected rehab facility, offering expert mental health and addiction treatment. We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders. For young people, we have a dedicated young people\'s mental health inpatient service across two specialist wards - Richmond Court and Kingston Court - where we provide expert care in a supportive environment. We also offer private autism assessments for children.

What you\'ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
What you\'ll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC registration, 6 to 12 months\' post-registration experience, and completion of a preceptorship programme. They will have knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, along with evidence of post-registration continuing professional development. The candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, a commitment to change, improvement, and quality, and the ability to develop and use flexible, innovative approaches to practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. They will have a minimum of 6 months\' post-registration experience within a mental health or learning disabilities care environment, with evidence of continued professional development in a relevant field.
