Overview

Temporary, ad hoc positions available with WorkwithYork. Our client is seeking a Mental Health Night Support Worker to support recovery-focused housing for adults with mental health problems by ensuring a safe environment overnight. Immediate start available.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor building security overnight.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to customers overnight as needed.
  • Maintain written and electronic records and participate in administrative tasks such as photocopying and filing.
  • Carry out general housekeeping duties as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Have care experience; not essential in Mental Health, but must have a basic understanding of mental illness and its effects on individuals and the difficulties they may experience as a result.
  • Flexibility of working style to meet the differing needs of customers using the services based in the unit.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues/other professionals.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., email, Word).
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • An Adults DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undertake a new one.
Pay and Hours
  • Pay rates: £13.86 to £16.63 per hour.
  • Hours: 9:30pm to 8:00am, 7 days a week, maximum 4 shifts per week.
  • Weekly pay via online timesheets; includes workplace pension, holiday pay, and access to online training.
