Job description

Do you have the commitment and positive values to make a difference to the lives of people living in Bury? This service supports individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and also have mental health needs.

Creative Support is a non-profit organisation which provides high quality person centred social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health and other needs.

We are looking for person centred individuals who are well motivated, hardworking and keen on working with the individual, a range of mental health professionals and a number of housing providers (both social and private) to source housing or to address issues being experienced in current housing. The role will provide advice and guidance as to the range of possible housing and support options including support to locate and resettle into an independent tenancy with support from local Mental Health Floating Support Services.

The Mental Health Housing Navigator will work closely with the Homelessness & Housing Options Service and the NHS Access & Crisis Team to identify individuals who need to be referred to the service to receive specialist support.

This is a full time role (37.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday from 9am till 5pm) or part time (minimum 15hrs per week) should the candidate wish to either work part time or split the role with their substantive post – Driver essential

12 month contract position with potential to extend.
