Medicines Optimisation Assistant

This role offers a distinctive opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a patient-facing setting. As a Medicines Optimisation Assistant, you'll be part of a growing and supportive team, with the chance to work directly on wards, contributing to the safe discharge of patients with respect to medicines, and support the review of patients' own drugs (PODs). These responsibilities provide valuable exposure to clinical pharmacy practice and help build a strong foundation for future career progression.

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, learn quickly, and bring energy and initiative to a dynamic and evolving service.

Main duties of the job

Provides technical support and extended role clinical duties on wards and in the pharmacy relating to optimal use of medicines.Area of work will be determined by service needs and the postholder will need to be proficient to work in all areas.

The role involves supply of medicines via various routes supporting assessment of patients' medicines needs and resolution of physical and clinical issues relating to medicines.
