Qualifications

  • Proven experience of dealing face-to-face with difficult customers/patients.
  • Previous clerical/admin experience within a Primary Care Trust.
  • Knowledge of hospital systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Check patient details on admission and update records.
  • Manage telephone enquiries under the direction of nursing staff.
  • Maintain and file hospital notes according to policies.
  • Book new and follow-up appointments for patients.
  • Distribution of post and redirecting mail.

Skills

Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Experience in dealing with the public

Education

GCSE's 9-4 (A-C) in Maths & English
NVQ level 2 in business administration or equivalent
