Crown Medical Practice are currently looking for a part time, temporary Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for an excellent communicator with good IT and administrative skills to join our busy reception team. The hours of work will be 2pm until 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
Crown Medical Practice is a high achieving practice based in Tamworth and Stonydelph, providing care for 9,000 patients. The practice is supported by an excellent multidisciplinary Clinical Team and friendly Administration Team.

JOB TITLE: MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
REPORTS TO: PRACTICE MANAGER
Summary: Receive, assist and direct patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, either in person or via telephone. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. Facilitate effective communication between patients, the primary health care team, secondary care and other healthcare agencies.
Reception responsibilities: Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and visitors; deal with general enquiries, explain procedures and manage appointments; ensure urgent cases are seen appropriately; explain practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary cover; receive and make telephone calls, divert calls and take messages accurately; advise patients of relevant charges for private services and issue receipts; enter patient information on to the computer; maintain the waiting area.
Contribution to the implementation of services: The post-holder will apply practice policies, discuss with team members how policies and guidelines affect their work, and participate in audits where appropriate.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and a DBS disclosure may be required.
