A health service provider in Houghton-le-Spring is seeking a motivated receptionist to join their team. Responsibilities include handling patient enquiries, managing office tasks, and ensuring effective communication with both patients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and experience in customer service. This role is permanent at 37.5 hours per week.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to enhance our busy, friendly, forward-thinking team for 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Essential skills include good communication and an excellent telephone manner, a willingness to learn with the ability to use your own initiative.
The main duties of this role are varied and include general reception duties, taking patient enquiries both at front desk face to face and on the telephone, general day to day administration, e.g. econsults, emails, reports, scanning, recalls, prescriptions etc.
Kepier Medical Practice is afriendly, pro-active, and responsive practice with an overall CQC rating ofGood. The practice is in closeproximity to A1 and A19; with staff members commuting from Sunderland, Newcastle,and Durham areas.
The practice is committed tofuture of the GP workforce being a training practice, hosting GP registrar(s) and3rd year medical students.
We currently have 3 GP Partners, 3Salaried GPs, and 2 Nurse Practitioners who are supported by an extendedclinical team consisting of 2 Practice Nurses, a Student Nurse Associate and a HealthCareSupport Worker. We also have a 15 strongadministrative team and in-house practice pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, a mentalhealth practitioner and social prescribers.
Weare looking to appoint a receptionist to join our busy GP practice who will bethe first point of contact for patients, contractors, and visitors as well ascarrying out general office management tasks.
Youwill be responsible for the general reception duties within the Practice andwork with our established processes, policies, and procedures to provide acomprehensive high quality service and deal efficiently and courteously withpatient enquiries.
Youwill receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate serviceor healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
Youwill provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive andfriendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via thetelephone.
Youwill have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and friendly naturewho can operate in a busy environment with a range of people and professions,as you will be working with our clinical and administration teams.
Thisrole is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicatorwho can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring everycontact is of the highest quality.
