A healthcare provider in Edinburgh is looking for professionals to lead primary care teams in developing and improving services. The roles aim to enhance patient care while continuing traditional primary care services. Candidates must be eligible to provide General Medical Services in Scotland. Applications should be submitted electronically by noon on Monday, 5 January 2026.
Two exciting opportunities to develop and improve services for patients in Edinburgh have arisen due to a desire to return directly managed practices to an independent contractor.
These vacancies would suit those who want to lead primary care teams as they develop new ways of working and grow their patient list; at the same time as continuing to provide and improve traditional Primary Care services.
Both practices are in the North‑East area of Leith and cover 6087 and 6937 patients respectively. Leith is a growing suburb with a large established population.
The premises will be available to the new service providers.
For informal enquiries please contact Dr Jeremy Chowings, Deputy Medical Director Primary Care NHS Lothian: jeremy.chowings@nhs.scot
Applicants may apply for either or both vacancies and should meet the criteria to be eligible to provide General Medical Services in Scotland.
