Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of engine ECM programming/diagnostics would be advantageous.
  • Well organized and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fault Finding/Repair of diesel generators.
  • Load testing of generators 20-2000KVA.
  • Major engine repairs and overhauls.
  • Modification/upgrades to genset fleet.

Skills

Strong Mechanical background
Technical capability (Power)
Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications

Education

City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent

We’re looking for a Mechanical Workshop Technician based in our Dumbarton Manufacturing Facility.

What you’ll do:
  • Fault Finding/Repair of diesel generators

  • Load testing of generators 20-2000KVA

  • Major engine repairs and overhauls

  • Assess genset condition on returning fleet to SRC

  • Modification/upgrades to genset fleet

  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems

  • Knowledge of engine ECM programming/diagnostics would be advantageous

  • Programming of control modules

You’ll have the following skills and experience:
  • Technical capability (Power)

  • Strong Mechanical background

  • A City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent

  • Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications

  • Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards

  • Able to manage a client’s expectations when under pressure
