Mechanical Technician - Additional Pay

Location: Leeds

Salary: £35,000 + Additional on-call pay per call out

Hours: Mon - Fri, 7am - 3pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with company health and safety policies.
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, drivers, belts, pumps, and gearboxes.
  • Fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of machinery.
  • Experience with servo drives (desirable but not essential).
  • Conduct routine servicing, urgent repairs, machine setting, and calibration on production machinery, plant, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
  • Support new equipment installation and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Provide emergency mechanical assistance during on-call shifts.
About You
  • Proven background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and fault-finding techniques.
  • Time-served apprenticeship or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Problem-solving mindset, teamwork, and adaptability.
